I think in the back of our heads, we always knew it was possible we could be turned away from a port — we just didn’t actually think it would actually happen.

It was our first sea day onboard the Carnival Panorama, and it was definitely a no bones day.
When cruising re-started, Stephanie and I hopped on a Norwegian cruise. They were 100% vaccinated, everyone was tested at the pier by NCL and it just felt like a good fit. Mom didn’t go, and we didn’t hear the end of how much she missed cruising so when Europe felt out of sight for the holidays, we decided to come home.
After a late night and then a very full Disney day, getting six and a half hours of sleep may as well had been a ride on the Benadryl train — I was rested and refreshed and ready to explore Los Angeles.
