Murphy’s Law Takes Vacation — The World’s Longest Dream Review (Part Seven)featured
Breakfast time @ Sassagoula Floatworks and Good Factory
A leisurely pre-checkout stroll around Port Orleans French Quarter…
…before checking (back) into the Gaylord Palms for our last pre-cruise day in Disney.
Will we ever get enough of the Gaylord Palms? Probably not. Could not recommend it enough. Fantastic resort.
And back to the Magic Kingdom, where the skies weren’t looking too good.
A couple of 1/3 lb. Angus Cheeseburgers + Carrot Cakes from Pecos Bills (a family favorite!)
Deluxe 1/3 lb. Angus Cheeseburger
And we were fully refueled for more Magic Kingdom!
And that would be around the time the skies opened up and we took shelter in Pinocchio Village Haus while we refashioned ourselves with some heavy duty ponchos and everyone else cleared out of the park.
What do you do when the parks clear out from rain but you’re equipped with a campers poncho? Walk on to Dumbo.
A few laps on the TTA where Space Mountain was down. The lights ruin the magic.
But when the skies close back up…the world creeps back in.
And we bid an early adieu to Magic Kingdom because…
It’s dinner time! (And because there was a Halloween party closing the park early)
Mixed Greens in Honey Lime Dressing
Trio of Sauces (Peanut, Spicy Mustard and Sweet and Sour)
Lo Mein Noodles, Pork Dumplings, Honey-Coriander Chicken Wings and Stir-Fried Vegetables
MEAT (it’s what’s for dinner. And ‘Ohana did us good)
Bread Pudding a la Mode with Bananas and Caramel Sauce
Did you know that you can watch Hallowishes from the TTC? And that they pipe in the music, too? Makes for a magical end to a magical pre-cruise trip.
And we head back to the hotel too keyed up to sleep — we’re getting on the Dream tomorrow!
