Sooo Hi! I’m still alive.featured
I guess I’ve kind of neglected this blog, huh.
I won’t apologize to those who have left some not-so-nice messages about how I should just delete this all at this point because it’s my blog and my only intent with it all along was to chronicle my family’s journeys for my family. It’s been a wonderful, wonderful kind of side effect that people found it helpful or entertaining and I do apologize for leaving the rest of you hanging!
When I had left off, I had just started a new job (I won’t say where because I work for a high-profile company, so it’s just probably best I don’t for now, even though they’ve told us we’re free to disclose it in our personal blogs). I spent most of the spring acclimating to working full time again (and the two and a half hour a day commute into and out of downtown took some getting used to, too). Then I went to San Francisco with my friends for a short trip. And then my role at work increased. And then I got a big, lovely, huge and wonderful promotion right before my six month anniversary and I’ve been training for it the past month and a half. I hate to say I’ve become one of those people who are obsessed with their jobs and let it consume their entire beings, but I love love love my job and I love love love where I’m working and so where I’ve been when I’ve been neglecting this blog? Working, sleeping or out with friends.
Here…have a random and gratuitous picture of the Golden Gate Bridge from my San Francisco trip.
But I do need to finish my last review. The information probably isn’t too relevant anymore, but at least I have pretty pictures, right? I just have to figure out all these new changes to Blogger first (because uploading that one picture into the right place required me to go into HTML and HTML is a pain in my backside)…
(…and if we need a barometer for just how busy I’ve been the past few months, the gang and I are heading out to Orlando for a week in Disney World and then a week on the Carnival Dream in about two and a half weeks…and Stephanie has had to plan nearly everything!)
